Levon Helm Dies at 71 from Cancer
It has been a long time since I made any personal posts in my blog. I’ve been so damn busy working and with life I’ve just had trouble keeping up with personal posting. But this past week one of my favorite musicians died and I just wanted to post something about it. Levon Helm died at 71 another victim of cancer, it seems cancer is just killing all of us these days it’s so sad. Levon is most famous for the time he spent playing with “The Band” a 70′s folk rock band made up of Rick Danko (bass guitar, double bass, fiddle, trombone, vocals), Garth Hudson (keyboard instruments, saxophones, trumpet), Richard Manuel (piano, drums, baritone saxophone, vocals), Robbie Robertson (guitar, vocals), and Levon Helm (drums, mandolin, guitar, vocals). All five members were notable musicians in their own right. Levon Helms and Robbie Robertson were former band members of Bob Dylan’s electric band starting in 1965. Upon leaving Dylan they formed “The Band” … it was kind of super group of American Folk Rock and they did rock! The Band came to an end with the recording of Martin Scorsese’s film “The Last Waltz“. It is s documentary of the The Band’s last concern with a who’s who of muscians playing with the The Band for the show. Other than the members of The Band: Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Ringo Starr Paul Butterfield and Dr. John all perform in the concert. I HIGHLY recommend seeing The Last Watlz, if you love music you’ll love the movie. Levon went on can continued playing in way to many bands and performances to talk about here but he continued playing and singing up until he died.
RIP in Levon you’ll be missed.

Wishlists: A Commentary
I used to HATE when webgirls and pornstars posted wish lists and begged for things online from their customers, fans and followers. Honestly I used to believe it is the lowest level of groveling someone could do; asking the general public to purchase stuff for you. To me a person begging for stuff online was just very distasteful and made a person look like they were “cheap” and just wanted free stuff.
I must say over the years my views on wish lists have evolved to not see them in such a bad light “if” they are used correctly and not shoved down viewers throats. I still hate when webgirls or pornstars go on social networks and are like “buy me this … buy me this” and tweeting out their wish lists constantly. I still see this practice and annoying and very disrespectful to customers, fans and followers. I was always raised that you don’t ask others for things and if someone wants to purchase you something they will volunteer and do it.
I still believe that “asking” is the wrong way to use a wish list, however, I have come to discover that there is a certain amount of people out there with disposable income that like to share with others. They support webgirls, pornstars and content producers because they like what they are providing or because they have developed a relationship with the person. I know that some guys like buying gadgets, outfits or sex toys for the women so they may seen them in use in their pictures and video. I think this partly because the buyer likes to see his or her connection with the performer. For example, if I was to purchase Alexis Texas a particular outfit and then she wore it in a video I would be turned on by seeing her in it!
Today my attitude on wish lists is that I have no problem with a woman posting a link on her site or social profile to her wish list. As long as it is left at that and not shoved down customers, fans or followers throats. I simple link on a site allows the guys to purchase something if they want but does not make the non-purchaser feel bad. After all we cannot “expect” people to purchase us stuff but there are some out there that enjoying purchasing stuff for the women they enjoy. A wish list is a good way for them to figure out what they want to purchase for their girl.
So to that end I have created my own wish list. Why in the world would I do this, I’m not some sexy hot looking woman. Well for a few reasons: (1) it helps me keep track of what investments are necessary to continue growing Dawn Marie’s website, (2) so much of this photography stuff Dawn Marie and I use is quite expensive and if some generous person out there wants to contribute to us growing our site quality and size we will certainly give them due credit. and (3) People think we get rich running an adult website, that is not true. Yes we make a nice living at it and we are by no means poor. But we certainly don’t make what the big porn companies make like Naughty America or Brazzers. We are just a mom and pop operation working hard for ourselves and trying to make our way in this very fun business.
I hope my views are understanding and I have given you my HONEST opinions on this subject. If you are not a wish list buyer NO PROBLEM I totally respect that. If you are wish list buyer you can view my wish list Dreamnet Rob’s Wishlist on Amazon.
Happy New Year!
